Ms. Julie Ann Asta, age 81, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Ms. Asta was of the Christain faith. Julie was a member of Mensa, an international high IQ society. Her quest for knowledge was unmatched; she was dedicated to being a lifelong learner. She enjoyed creating crafts, completing puzzles, and playing any kind of word game. Julie will be remembered best as a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Ms. Asta was preceded in death by her parents; Homer Allen Parks and Ruth Seeberg Parks; and brothers, Ralph, Michael, and Richard Parks.
Ms. Asta is survived by her son, Philip Asta of Auburn; daughter, Marie Asta of Auburn; sister, Margaret (Donnie) Froeber of OR; two grandchildren, Teri Campbell of Winder and Enzo Ciccarelli-Asta of IA; one great-grandson, Jeremiah Flanigan of Winder; and her former husband, Liborio Asta.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 in the Chapel of Maddox-Carter Memorial Home with Rev. John Burchfield officiating. Burial will follow the service at Auburn City Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 2:00 PM until the service hour at Maddox-Carter Memorial Home.
