Ms. Lois Ann Helmers

Ms. Lois Ann Helmers, age 77, of Winder, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

Ms. Helmers was a member of Bethlehem First United Methodist Church where she enjoyed being part of the crochet group. Lois was a talented writer and took great interest in genealogy, tracing back her family lineage for several generations. She loved flowers and spending her time bird watching. Ms. Helmers will be remembered best as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Ms. Helmers was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Douglas Mangus and parents, Milton Douglas Venoy and Lena Mae Smalley Venoy.

Ms. Helmers is survived by her daughter, Dawn (Michael) Holland of Winder; three grandchildren, Michael (Rachel) Saemisch of Monroe, Joshua (Christel) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Cody Holland of Winder; and four great-grandchildren, S.J. Saemisch, Ella Holland, Ayden Holland, and Cooper Holland.

A private family service will be held.

Maddox-Carter Memorial Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.
