Miss Mary Jane Brock, age 70, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2026, surrounded by her family, at her residence. 

Jane was a devoted Christian who lived a life of faith, compassion, and service to others. She was a faithful member of Winder Christian Church, where her love for the Lord was evident in the way she cared for those around her.

Miss Brock retired as a Nurse from Athens Regional Medical Center following over 40 years of dedicated service. Nursing was more than a career to her; it was a calling. She also faithfully served as a summer camp nurse for countless years, providing care and comfort to generations of campers. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Winfred and Mary Thomas Brock; and brother-in-law, Douglas Gabriel. 

Jane is survived by her siblings, Susan Gabriel, Nancy Gabriel, and Marie (Mike) Tinsley; nephew, Tyler (Savannah) Tinsley; and great nieces, Magnolia and Caroline Tinsley.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 1, 2026 in the Chapel of Maddox Memorial Home with Minister Dennis Burgess and Minster Jim Morris officiating. Burial will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Maddox Memorial Home.
