Mrs. Mayra “Mayrita” Leticia Armas, age 25, of Loganville, was born on November 4, 2000, and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 15, 2026. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
From an early age, Mayrita showed a love for writing, reading, photography, writing/reading perfect Spanish, and singing. These passions became an important part of her life and led her to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree at Lipscomb University, which she was close to completing.
She married her beloved sweetheart of six years, Mayroni Armas, on February 23, 2025. Together, they began building a home rooted in Christian values and their love for the Lord.
Mayrita was known for the profound love she had for her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her father, Rafael “Dad”; her brother, Landon “Boy”; the Ruiz family, including “Tío Alberto,” “Tía Ely,” and Caleb, Betsy, and David, “the kiddos”; her grandparents, especially her “Abuelita Tety” who taught her to cook; her “Tío Victor,” “Tía Amanda,” and Ivanna; and all of the family and friends whose lives she touched.
She was also a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church in Loganville, Georgia, where she was deeply loved. The church family became an important part of her life and played a significant role in helping her grow and become rooted in Christ.
One of the Scriptures that reflected Mayrita’s desire to honor the Lord with her life was:
“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” — 1 Corinthians 6:20
Mayrita’s life was a testimony of her love for Christ, her family, and those around her. Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the influence she had on others will remain with us. We are thankful for the life God gave her and for the hope we have that, through Christ, this separation is not forever.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Victory Baptist Church in Loganville, Georgia with Pastor Derik Lawrence and Pastor Joe Torres officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hill Haven Memory Gardens in Monroe, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the service hour at Victory Baptist Church.
Maddox Memorial Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.
