Nathalie Goolsby Burgess

Mrs. Nathalie Goolsby Burgess, age 96, of Auburn, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at her
residence.

Mrs. Burgess was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Auburn.

Mrs. Burgess was preceded in death by her husband, Shelia Taft Burgess; son, Rev. Parker D.
Burgess; parents, George Brice Goolsby and Maybell Hamilton Goolsby; and brothers, J.B. Goolsby
and Terrance Goolsby.

Mrs. Burgess is survived by her daughter, Hilda Tumlin of Auburn; sisters; Clara (Wayne) Lisenbee
of Cumming, Syble Craig of Winder, Pauline Hulsey of Ohio and Dot (Terrance) Goolsby; four
grandchildren, Tonia (George) Luna, Miranda (John) Turner, Clint (Terri) Burgess and Joshua
Burgess; six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews,
family and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 15, 2023 in the Chapel of Carter Funeral
Home with Rev. Doug Swafford officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday from
12:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at Carter Funeral Home. A private burial will be held on
Monday, April 17, 2023 at the Marietta National Cemetery.
