Mr. Q. O. Gilliland, Sr, age 86, of Hoschton, Georgia died October 28, 2011. A native of Jackson County, he was a son of the late Henry and Dora Etheridge Gilliland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Grizzle Gilliland. Mr. Gilliland was a retired farmer and was an Army Veteran of World War II.
Surviving are Daughter and Son-in-law, Glynda and Fred Wright of Winder, Son and Daughter-in-law, Jim and Angie Gilliland of Hoschton, Grandchildren and their spouses, Joseph and B. J. Wright, Adam and Katherine Wright, Great Grandchildren, Alyssa Wright and Bonner Wright, Sister, Betty Brady of Cornelia, Brother, Roy Gilliland of Cleveland.
A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 2 P. M.from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Doyle Sims officiating. Interment will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The Family will receive friends Saturday from 6-9 P. M. at Carter Funeral Home.
