Mr. Sam W. Moon, age 77, of Winder, Georgia died February 7, 2012. A native of Barrow County he was the son of the late W. T. "Bill" and Lucille Rooks Moon. He was preceded by a sister, Willie Rose Hendrix, and was an automotive body repairman.
Surviving are Wife, Joan Moon of Winder, Children, Lisa Farmer of Hoschton, Hal Moon of Jamestown, Ohio, Randy Moon of Winder, Butch Blakenship of Apopka, Florida, Donna Nelms of Winder, and Jeff Pruett of Conyers, Nine Grandchildren, Sisters, Joyce Grizzle of Statham, Gloria Wall and Martha Whiting both of Winder.
A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:00 P. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Gilmer officiating. The Family will receive friends from 1-2 P. M. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastside Baptist Church, 320 Bert Day Road, Winder, Georgia 30680.
