Sue Lawson Duncan

Mrs. Sue Duncan, age 62, of Arnoldsville, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022.

Mrs. Duncan loved her family and Jesus dearly. She will be best remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Sue served in the medical field for over 30 years and was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church of Athens. Mrs. Duncan had a strong Christian faith. She held the verse of Psalm 46:10 dear to her heart, “He says, Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Mrs. Duncan is preceded in death by her parents; James and Juanita Lawson; and siblings, Debbie Helton, Sandy Bryant, and Cindy Williams.

Mrs. Duncan is survived by her loving husband of 44 years; Wayne Duncan of Arnoldsville; daughters, Shannon (Joel) Kaye of Athens and Jessica (Tim) Raymond of Winder; and six grandchildren, Emma, Ethan, and Ezra Kaye, Logan Hough, Colby Raymond, and Lucas Raymond.

A Memorial Service to honor the life of Mrs. Sue Duncan will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home.
