Thelma Bentley Biddy

May 13, 1935 — March 12, 2024

Mrs. Thelma Bentley Biddy passed away March 12, 2024 following an extended Illness. Born May 13, 1935 in Bold Springs, Georgia, she was a daughter of George and Susie Bentley. She is rejoicing in Heaven with her husband of over 54 years, Gene Biddy and her granddaughter, Dedra Bramlett, brothers, Eugene Bentley, Joe Bentley, Randolph Bentley, Emmett Bentley and Frank Bentley, sisters, Mildred West, Kathryn Ezernack, and Virgina Craig.

Thelma worked for Gwinnett County Schools as a School Nurse and Bus Monitor. She was a member of Carl Baptist Church for over 50 years. She volunteered for the Auburn Historical Society and was a founding member of the Auburn Senior Group, The OWLS. As a seamstress she would make Angel Dresses for local hospitals and many other masterpieces for family and friends, all made with love.

Thelma is survived by her daughters, Belinda Biddy Kennedy of Winder, Georgia. Elaine (Barry) Fuller of Winder, Georgia, and Andrea (Tony) Boswell of Piedmont, South Carolina, grandchildren, Heather (Todd) Greenway of Winder, Georgia, Aaron (Courtney) Fuller of Watkinsville, Marlena (Chirs) Rice of Auburn, Dione (Jamie) Ashley of Donalds, South Carolina, Lisa (B. J.) Williams of Dawsonville, Georgia and Nick Boswell of Ohio, great grandchildren, Katelin and Jesse Greenway, Clayton and Isabel Rice, Grayson and Abby Fuller, Tripp, Parker and Bella Williams and Mayson and Riley Ashely, sisters, Josie Gravitt of Duluth, Gladys Cochran of Mableton, and Evelyn Toole of Winder, sisters-in-law, Dorothy Brumbalow and Betty Hanner and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

The Family will receive friends Friday, March 15, 2024 from 5:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11:00 A. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Hamm officiating. Interment will follow in The Bay Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Flowers are welcomed or memorials may be made to The Carl First Baptist Church, 1588 Carl-Bethlehem Road, Auburn, Georgia 30011 or The Georgia Baptist Children’s Home, 505 Water Works Road, Palmetto, Georgia 30268.
