Vivian Catherine Mathews

Mrs. Vivian Catherine Mathews, age 89, of Winder, Georgia passed away February 23, 2015. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Mathews was a daughter of the late Otis and Annie Lee Cronic Tanner. She was preceded by her husband, Ralph J. Mathews in 1999. Mrs. Mathews loved to cook and was famous for her pound cakes, she also enjoyed flower gardening. She had resided in Barrow County for most of her life, was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church, and was a former employee of Carwood Manufacturing Company.
Surviving are Son and Daughter-in-law, Gary and Joan Mathews of Winder, Grandsons and Spouses, Josh and April Mathews of Marietta, Justin and Jody Mathews of Suwanee and Jeremy and Linsey Mathews of Flowery Branch, Great Grandson, Hudson Michael Mathews, Sister, Betty Snider of Albany.
A Funeral Service will be held, Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 4:00 P. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 5-9 P. M. at the funeral home.
